An unthinkable thought, an act of hate,
Innocent people killed by an awful fate.
Why would anyone think or act this way?
Families and lives destroyed in a single day.
No last chance to say I love you, or goodbye...
Many people hurt in the blink of an eye.
A thought of hate brought a terrible crash...
For years and years this pain will last.
Somewhere, someone evil is laughing out loud,
But America is still standing "Strong" and "Proud".
All this grief, we'll one day get through,
For our country still stands, America the Beautiful.
