My Train Tutorial © EagleRose 2002

Please be kind, this is the 1st time I have tried to write a tutorial.

Items needed: Dingbat Toy Train

Sapphire Filter COS Intregral, Try whatever filter you like or No Filter if desired.

Lots of cute tubes, many can be found at Jazzl's site.

Open new image, 900x300, I like room to play, will be resized later.

Add text using your name with the Toy Train at 80pt.

Go to Selections, click Select None.

Erase the christmas items from your train.

Make another New Image same size as above Copy and Paste your train onto the new image as a New Selection.

To Flood fill the train, while seeing the marching ants, click Selections, and Invert.

Use the Magic Wand to select the part of the train you would like to flood fill with your choice of color.

Once you have your train all flood filled open another New Image same size as above and copy and paste your train to it as a New Selection so you have the marching ants.

Ready for filter fun, I used Sapphire COS Integral with the settings below.

Factor 1 - 138

Factor 2 - 95

Factor 3 - 74

Factor 4 - 26

Mix 1 - 99

Mix 2 - 108

Click OK.

Next I used Inner Bevel, Frame with the settings below.

Width - 12

Smooth - 16

Depth - 4

Ambience - 0

Shininess - 0

Angle - 315

Intensity - 50

Elevation - 30

Open another New Image and copy and paste your train as a new layer.

Now we are ready to play with tubes and LOTS of layers.

Add a new layer and add your 1st tube to the train, erasing whatever is needed, then Sharpen Image, and add a drop shadow.

Keep repeating that step making sure you add a new layer for each tube.

When your train is full of cute tubes Merge Layers, I resized mine to 600x147, Sharpen and saved as a jpg.

Well, I think your train tag is done.  Hope you have enjoyed my 1st mini tut.

Please do not claim this mini tut as your own or add it to your site.

Thanks, EagleRose
